THREE week advanced plastering course - only £1,250

The advanced plastering course takes you from beginner to plastering academy professional level in three weeks! 

You'll work with our highly experienced instructors to improve skills, speed and accuracy. And you'll be given business advice, including pricing and estimating. The course is designed to get you to a standard where you can start work as a plasterer immediately after the course and assist you for assessment for the NVQ qualification.

  • Health and safety introduction

  • Tools and materials introduction

  • Cutting and fixing plasterboard [to walls and ceiling]

  • Applying scrim tape to plasterboard joints

  • Fixing angle beads

  • Application of backing plaster (sand and cement and bonding)

  • Applying finishing coats to plaster board

  • Application of sand and cement scratch coat and finishing coat to block work walls

  • Float and set block work walls

  • Preparing and skimming onto existing plaster

  • Fixing plasterboard to block work walls using dot and dab technique

  • Artex removal

  • Applying finishing coat to large areas

  • Improvement techniques

  • Working with selected areas that have been covered

  • Business start up advice, pricing and estimating
